Sydney McKinney obtained her Bachelor's in Business in 2011, from Fox Business School of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sydney has been affiliated with Cans for Kids since she was a teenager. From handing out flyers after school to giving presentations to business owners, in an effort to educate more Bahamians on the benefits of recycling aluminium, in order to raise funds for the youth of The Bahamas. Though working in the Finance industry since 2011, Sydney's involvement with Cans for Kids has continued. Caring for The Bahamas through environmental efforts and recycling efforts, Cans for Kids is one of these avenues. Her hope is that one day recycling will be an everyday habit for all Bahamians, in order to reduce the volume of waste in the landfill, increase the volume of recycled materials in our day to day which will ultimately lead to a healthier environment for all Bahamians. Sydney is now living in Toronto, Canada but remains active in the environmental conversations taking place in The Bahamas, as well as Cans for Kids.
